The proof of the pudding is in the eating: I have reached stage 4 now and can confirm that it works! Beware, it does take a serious amount of time. And you encounter drawbacks along the long and winding road. But as the result is gradually showing, I can assure you it is worth the effort. I wonder which way I will turn in stage 5 ;-)
Thanks for your encouraging coaching, Cris.
And keep up the good work!
Kind regards,
Kristine

Hi Cris,

I would say, eventually we all want "to be", no matter which training you go to. But I have noticed that sometimes it seems to be the hardest thing of all to do in a lot of cases. While actually it is the most simple and natural thing or as you say, when you are deeply honest and really listen to yourself.
regards, Linda

Hi Linda,

I have enjoyed your presence here at my blog! Yes, it gives a lot to think about. The mind is very strong and can easily fool us into the fact that we are really changing. But it all depends on what we want out of life. As long as we feel that we are able to express the potential that we want to express it is ok. It is an observation that people settle for much less, because they do not believe, nor see how to, that much more is possible.

In some cases personal development trainings are just another way of entertainment. Some like to go to a concert, others go to a training: it gives them a high, a feeling of empowerment, but weeks later they fall back to the same old routine. But if that is ok for them than so be it.

It is all about being deeply honest about what it really means to ourselves and admit to ourselves the truth of the matter.

Cris.

Comment on The True Implications of Change

Very inspiring article, and interesting question you pose, Cris.
For me, change has many meanings. I'm convinced anyone can change. However, change can be positive, as well as negative.
When an opportunity / risk of change occurs:
At first i feel fear...
-What if I lose something (relationships/health/finances/confidence/...)?
-What if I embarass myself?
-What if I make a stupid mistake?...
Then... I try to see opportunities...
-Can this change affect my life and others in a positive way?
-What can I learn from it?

I feel the trick is to truly ask yourself if there is a chance this change will improve your life. Look into your heart, because our minds are easily clouded by limiting beliefs and excuses.
If so... find enough reasons why. Sum up all the reasons why this change is positive. Decide change is not an option, but an absolute must!
Then go for it, with your whole mind, body and soul.
